I was thinking this as I was walking home tonight: if Superman had super hearing, wouldn't normal talking be like shouting matches to him?
I guess that's what you have to take to be a superhero.
On a side note, just to show how little time I've spent at home lately, the laundry that I did when I was back in Guelph on Sunday still sits in the hamper. I guess I can put it back in the drawers now that real-time is done.
It's a bit of a relief actually.
Oh, I haven't replaced the G-string I broke on Friday either.

Today on Kid Jeopardy, last question of the Jeopardy round: "This capital of Iraq was founded by ...".
One kid guessed Kuwait, the other two failed to ring in. Theses are 7th and 8th graders.
There are 200 000 US troops in Iraq, and they were at war 2 months ago. How do they not know this?

So Matt's been mentioning a lot about this UW Blogger thing, and I thought I'd take a look.
Somethings I noticed:
1.) Out of the 10 bloggers, 8 are female. Hardly the ratios you'd see at UW.
2.) 3 1/2 are in AHS, 1 in Engineering, 2 in Arts, 1 in Science, 1 in ES, and 1 1/2 in Math. So all the faculties are covered, but again not in the correct ratios.
3.) 7 people started their latest entry with some sort of "Hey", "Hello", or "Hi Everyone". Which to me, makes it sound less like a journal, and more like a newsletter.
Well, at least they're trying something new.

I think this is the term I learned to procrastinate as much as possible. And it's great.
Our train project will be a Terminator game, where one train is John Connor, and the other is the Terminator. John Connor's mission is to reach 3 predetermined destinations to collect a gun, some C-4, and finally to blow up SkyNet labs to prevent Judgement Day; while T-1000's mission is to kill John Connor.
Should be interesting.

Orr, this is for you.
Today on my way to the lab, I saw a man grab a squirrel climbing a tree with his bare hands. Eyewitness proof that it can be done.

Duck
The duck at the MC is gone. The only remnants are some broken eggs and pieces of fluff here and there.
Talking about the ducks last Friday led me to do some research, and apparently the gestation period of ducks is around 28 days. So that duck's been there for a while. I first noticed it at least 2-3 weeks ago while buying food from the C&D BBQ.
What I wonder is how the duck got all her ducklings up the stairs (it was in the MC pit, in one of the concrete planters).

We saved our first soccer win for the playoffs.
Although we were playing the team one below us (we're 13th out of 15), they had somewhere around 6 subs, and we were down by 1 player (although it wasn't dinner this time).
So we get to play again tomorrow, when we're sure to lose because Jon and Robin have to leave early for basketball.

After an obligatory 9 hours at the lab, I go outside at 5 am, ready to ride home to get some shuteye, only to find ... the back rim of my bike missing. The one I just replaced a month ago.
Who the FUCK steals a back rim?
If I find the person's bike with my rims on them, I will personally stand outside, and wait for them beside their bike.
They could have at least tried to steal the whole bike, and give me an excuse to buy a new one.

I bought the new Harry Potter book last Sunday, and have been averaging over 100 pages a day. Finally finished it today so I can fully focus on real-time.
Harry gets up some teen-angst in this one.
